DGFT Notifies Imposition Of MIP for Soda Ash

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified the imposition of Minimum Import Price (MIP) for Soda Ash. 

The import policy hence has been revised to “restricted” from “free”. The product can be imported into India freely only if CIF value is INR 20,108 or above.

The existing ‘Free’ Import Policy, as it stands prior to the issuance of this Notification, shall be in effect starting from 1st July 2025, unless expressly amended by subsequent notification.

Minimum Import Price (MIP) of Rs. 20,108 per MT is imposed on Disodium Carbonate (Soda Ash) covered under Chapter 28 of ITC (HS) 2022, Schedule–I (Import Policy), up to 30th June 2025.
