CBIC Transfers 2 DRI Officers as OSDs at Board Headquarters

The Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), under the Department of Revenue in the Ministry of Finance, has ordered the transfer and posting of two senior officers from the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) to the Board headquarters as Officers on Special Duty (OSD).

The changes were notified through an Office Order issued from CBIC headquarters at New Delhi. The order has been issued with the approval of the competent authority and takes immediate effect until further orders.

The current position of Salunke Durgesh Yadav (Batch 2013) is Additional Director, DRI Zonal Unit, Mumbai and the New Posting is attached as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in CBIC

The current position of Sanjeev Amogh Thorat (Batch 2016) is Deputy Director, DRI Regional Unit, Goa and the New Posting is attached as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in CBIC

The office order states that both officers must be relieved immediately from their current postings and are required to join their new assignments on or before March 16, 2026.

The directive also clarifies that no representation or request regarding the transfer will be entertained before the officers join their new place of posting, indicating the urgency and finality of the administrative decision.

The order further directs the Director General of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence to submit a compliance report regarding the relieving of the officers to the Board by March 18, 2026. Copies of the compliance report are also to be endorsed to the Additional Director General (HRM-II), DGHRD.
