Export Of Non-Basmati Rice Allowed Subject To Registration Of Contracts With APEDA: DGFT

The Directorate of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has notified that the export of non-basmati rice is allowed subject to registration of contracts with Agricultural and Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA).

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, issued Notification No. 33/2025-26 on Tuesday, prescribing new conditions under the ITC (HS) 2022, Chapter 10, Schedule II (Export Policy).

Non-basmati rice falling under ITC (HS) codes 1006 3011, 1006 3019, 1006 3091, 1006 3099, and 1006 4000. Exports remain classified as “Free”. However, exports are allowed only upon registration of export contracts with APEDA.
