The Supreme Court Collegium Recommended appointment of Justice MN Bhandari as Chief Justice of Madras HC

Justice MN Bhandari, born on September 13, 1960. On July 5, 2007, he was appointed as a Judge of the Rajasthan High Court. On March 15, 2019, he was transferred to the Allahabad High Court and swore in as a judge. Initially he practiced in the Rajasthan High Courts in Jodhpur and Jaipur, the Central Administrative Tribunal in Jaipur, and in the Supreme Court in Constitutional, Civil, Service, Labour, Criminal, and Arbitration matters, with a focus on Constitutional, Service, Labour, and Arbitration matters. 

He has been a Standing Counsel for Railways, Rajasthan Road Transport Corporation, Nuclear Power Corporation, State Election Commission, Rajasthan University, all Rajasthan Government Electricity Companies, Jaipur Development Authority, Jaipur Municipal Corporation, Rajasthan Housing Board, GangaNagar Sugar Mills Ltd., and Rajasthan Agricultural University. 

From June 26, 2021 to October 10, 2021, he performed the functions of the Acting Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court. On November 22nd, 2021, he was transferred to the Madras High Court and swore in as a judge there.
